This year, History Cherokee is making our annual Kentucky Derby Day a bit more colorful with the introduction of a painted horse competition that we're calling the Crescent Farm Cup!

Students and artists from across Cherokee County have displayed their abilities by painting wooden horses to be displayed across the county leading up to Derby Day. Vote for your favorite horse or favorite school to win ultimate bragging rights! Cast your vote by donating to History Cherokee - $1 equals one vote. All horses will then be included in Kentucky Derby Day's silent auction on May 4, 2024, where you can claim one of these Cherokee County original artworks for yourself!

All proceeds from the Crescent Farm Cup and silent auction will benefit History Cherokee, a non-profit organization dedicated to collecting, preserving, and sharing Cherokee County's unique history.
